Rosacea & Redness — How to Calm & Control It

Rosacea, redness and flushing are extremely common skin concerns in rural Queensland, where heat, wind and sun exposure are daily challenges. At Mii Studio Springsure, we specialise in calming complexions and reducing inflammation through gentle but effective treatment plans.

What Is Rosacea?

Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that causes:

• flushing

• visible capillaries

• sensitivity

• pustules

• burning or stinging sensations

It can be triggered by heat, stress, diet, weather changes and certain skincare products.

Types of Rosacea

1. Erythematotelangiectatic Rosacea

Persistent redness + visible capillaries.

2. Papulopustular Rosacea

Redness + acne-like bumps.

3. Phymatous Rosacea

Thickening of skin (rare).

4. Ocular Rosacea

Affects the eyes.

Common Triggers

• Heat (a big one in Springsure)

• Sun exposure

• Hot showers

• Spicy foods

• Alcohol

• Stress

• Wind exposure

• Over-exfoliation

• Incorrect skincare

Rosacea & Rural Queensland

Rosacea is more common here because:

• heat exposure

• hot weather fluctuations

• outdoor work

• high UV

• dust + wind irritation

Your skin barrier is constantly under stress.
